Heart to Heart Cookies is a program that we started to ensure that all children in foster care receive cookies for their big life celebrations.

Read our FAQ below for more information.

To see who we are currently serving or to apply please fill out the form below.

Heart to heart Cookies FAQ * Who is eligible? Foster children, unhoused children, and birth children of active foster parents that are under the age of 19. * What types of occasions may we request cookies for? Birthdays, high school graduation, and adoption. * What kind of treats do you offer? Party Cookies (For the Celebration), Class/Group Cookies (to take to school, daycare, church, Etc.), or a cookie cake * Do you offer dietary restrictions? We will be able to offer gluten sensitive, it would be for the whole order not just a couple of cookies. We are working on getting volunteer bakers who will be 100% GF. * Are there any blackout dates/what dates do you serve? No birthdays happen every day. During the holiday season we just ask that your applications be turned in 2 months prior so that we can plan accordingly. * What kind of decorations or themes can we choose? When choosing your theme please keep in mind that exact decoration will be based on the skill level of our volunteer baker. Due to copyright laws specific characters may not be on cookies, but we will try to include them the best we can. For example, specific shapes and colors may be used instead. * How far in advance do we have to place our order? 1 month, or 2 months for orders needed in February, November, and December. * What if a child is placed with us less than a month before their birthday? We encourage you to fill out the form and each delayed order will be on a case by case basis, and if we have a volunteer that could take an order at the last minute. * How do we communicate with the bakers? For the privacy of the children and the bakers all communication with be with either your case manager or an employee from Heart to Heart Cookies. * What information do you need about our child? Just their first name, and birthday. * Who provides the cookies? Volunteer bakers that have been vetted by Heart to Heart Cookies, some may be local bakeries and others may be HBV (Homebased vendors) that follow state guidelines. * How many times may my child participate? We ask that children only participate once a year, they can participate each year if they are eligible. If they have more than one occasion in a year, then they must choose which one they would like us to help them celebrate. * Can I put applications in for all my children at the same time? Yes, it is encouraged for you to plan early. * Can my birthchildren also participate? Yes, as long as you are an active foster parent – meaning you have current foster children in your home. * Will you deliver the cookies? We will deliver cookies to your agency; they will then help you to arrange pick up or drop off. * How do you control quality? Each volunteer baker will be vetted by Heart to Heart Cookies, a photo will also be requested from each baker before the order is dropped off at the agency. We will match orders with bakers based on their skill level. * Who can request the cookies? Foster parents and case managers for foster children (birth children of foster parents), parents or guardians for unhoused children. * Is there an age limit? Yes, from birth to 18 (19 if graduating high school) * What happens if my child moves before we receive their cookies? If your child were to be reunited or move in with another foster family, we would do our best to work with the case manager to see if we still get these cookies for the child. If we cannot then we will cancel the order with the volunteer baker. It is our main goal to make sure that the children can receive and enjoy the cookies. * How do I become a volunteer?
